Realise Engineering's 3D laser scanning service is delivered through our specialist spatial division, Realise Spatial, which provides high-accuracy terrestrial 3D laser scanning, reverse engineering and precision measurement services across Australia.
The process starts with an on-site visit to discuss your project's purpose, deliverable requirements and end goal. Our team then captures the environment, structure or object using survey-grade terrestrial laser scanners for buildings and industrial facilities, or handheld 3D scanners for smaller components and reverse engineering work. The individual scans are registered together to create a single, high-density point cloud accurate to within millimetres.
This point cloud is then imported into our Autodesk CAD software (Inventor, AutoCAD, Revit and Recap) where our engineering team uses it for as-built documentation, retrofit design, clash detection, factory layout planning, equipment replacement and reverse engineering of components for local manufacture.
